The challenge: to design two levels of commercial head office space for a global brand.
The enormous scale of the project encouraged me to create purposeful zones which required FF&E schedules, product specification sheets and concept renders.
My design uses commercial grade Italian furniture throughout, for a proudly Italian brand. Finishes are detailed in an FF&E Schedule.
This vast office space on levels 22 and 23, 1 Bligh Street, Sydney, allows room for imagination. I kept in line with the brand’s well loved sophisticated visual identity, introducing some vibrant and playful elements. The 29 storey 5 Star NABERS Energy Rating building lets in lots of natural light through the central atrium, enabling me to add some creative feature lighting as well as recessed spotlights.
The lower level office space welcomes guests and is a more informal level, consisting of 14 zones including reception, showroom, large and small meeting rooms, hot desking, waiting area, kitchenette and printing room. The upper level is more private and has 12 zones with designated areas for the communal kitchen, break out space, VIP meeting rooms, fixed office desks, CEO offices, innovation room and kitchenette.
Bold elegant feature lighting using energy saving LED strip lighting and recessed downlights throughout. All Italian brands sourced locally from Fanuli in Sydney, ensuring transportation is sustainable. SMEG kitchen appliances from the playful Retro range. Marble, Staron, polished concrete, timber finishes. All materials commercial grade making them durable.
